Educational Activities for Toddlers
Each month, Citrus Lane delivered educational toys for toddlers in a durable recyclable box. I identified an opportunity to turn the box into an activity that toddlers can do together with their parents. These activities incorporated simple lessons for parents to teach their small kids.
I came up with the activity ideas, iterated and design the activities, coordinated with our Ops team, managed assets, all the way to delivering the final design to our box vendor.
Each activity was promoted through social media and generated positive buzz, customer satisfaction, and brand perception.
Color the Box!
I partnered with our Creative Director to secure licensing for beautiful illustrations by Charley Harper. The simple lines and familiar animals encouraged toddlers’ imagination and provide them with an activity to improve their tactical mobility.
Bowling with Numbers
For this particular month, one of the toys in the box was a cushy ball. I came up with the idea of including an insert with bowling pins cut-outs to complement the ball.
Each bowling pin had a number and an alphabet to color and learn (and to roll over with the ball!)
“We love love love this! I love the idea of having an activity to do together and have fun!”

“Bowstache” for Breast Cancer and Men’s Health Awareness Month
To bring awareness to these two important causes, I collaborated with our VP of Marketing to include cut-outs of pink mustaches and ribbons that parents and children could don together.
This fun activity encourages motor skills by punching out the perforated shapes, brought social media awareness and provided a way for families to share their stories.
